Chronicling the history of Denholms department store, which was formed by William Alexander Denholm and William C. McKay, two entrepreneurs who saw the potential for opening up a large scale department store in the heart of downtown Worcester, Massachusetts. During its heyday it was the biggest department store outside of Boston and employed more than 600 workers. Due to financial difficulties, the store closed in 1973.
